You can, although using pins 1 and 4 is neater..

Not if im using a full length gf4 ti4600 card and SMD grabbers :P. Card gets in the way.

I wouldnt recomend using SMG grabbers, although if you insist on it only use one....

DO NOT use the screw! I did and I suppose its too strong of a ground, the chip heat up real quick and would have burned if I didnt catch it in time. use pin4 for ground.

This is why people should read the PDF before they do the mod.

pin 4 is ground but to protect the chip from spikes in the ground line there is a cap between pin 4 and ground.

if you run straight from ground you may have problems....This might be the reason for this problem.
it might not be, it could be something else but it is good practice to use a common ground for such mods.
