Right now i'm using a 400w Sony mini Hi-Fi stereo with a nice 8" sub on my desktop (keeping the speakers at least a foot from my monitor as they are unshielded) each of the two satellite speakers have 2 powerful mids and 1 tweater. I really want surround sound but i don't want to listen to my music on anything with less bass and altogether power than this system, and i don't want to spend a ton of money on a quality 500+watt surround sound. I was thinking bout ordering the 180w Cyber Acoustics 2.1 set off newegg and plugging them into the rear channel out on my X-Fi and use that as surround sound. Plus this would also almost double my bass :)
I was wondering if anyone else has a similar rigged 5.1 set-up and can tell me how good it sounds, like sound balance and such. I really just want powerfull music/bass and good 3d positioning for games.

Of course there would still be the problem of getting a center channel too..
