DFI's Karajan Audio or Creative SB Live! 5.1?

As the title says. Which one will suit me better? Im only using 2.1 sound anyway. Jus lookin for performance. Cheers

For my opinion, the SB Live! is better, because you can mod it to a Audigy 2 if you want, is a driver mod, and you can get much better audio quality with it, istead the Karajan audio is a good choice anyway, because you are using 2.1 and the difference will be a little less, so i think that is a good choice for your budget keep the karajan audio or in another time buy a 5.1 sound system and then the sb live!. i already have the live! 5.1 jus wondering whether its worth installing it.

The codec DFI uses is pretty efficient, and sounds good as well.

You can mod a driver package all you want, but the hardware is still SBLive!

The SBLive had it's long day in the sun, but the codecs manufactures put on their boards now tend to perform as well, if not better, than the older audio adapter.

They generally include better drivers as well.
