i love this card it sounds incredibile. the only problem is theirs always this popping crack noise every 1-5-2 seconds and its so annoying. I have no idea why its doing it. I have the latest drivers I think from creatives website. I have read about this problem in x-fi reviews and on here and now I have it, does any one have any clue on how to solve it?

also I left the onboard sound on the MB but its disabled and drivers are gone, do I need to take my computer appart to remove this thing, or atleast take out MB? I rather just leave it in.

Has anyone experienced issues with an Ultra-D/Dual Core CPU/X-Fi ?

This is what my setup will be and I am concerned about issues with this setup?

I have heard it has issues with dual core, and yes when I had my opty 165 I did indeed hear popping in FEAR (but not battlefield 2), however my 165 has passed on to the great beyond, and I ordered a 146 to replace it, it hasn't got here yet but when it does I will see if I still hear the popping in FEAR. I'm pretty sure the popping in FEAR is the fault of the game however, because there are a lot of complaints of it on the FEAR forums.

I just received a X-Fi XtremeMusic tonight and the box says that it is Revision C and the the serial number starts out M1SB0460537......Is there any way to know if my card came flashed with the bios with the workaround for NForce4 motherboards?

I got one a few days ago, it would BSOD my intel rig something fierce. I decided to toss it in my ultra-d and, it works flawlessly. I did however pull out the karjan module before hand.
