While my father's boss was away, he managed to make me a tube that I told him to do. Pics first:

He lost my schematics + diagram that I gave him prior doing this (sweet  ), he only remembered that tube was supposed to be 10 inches long and base was to be 3/8 inch thick :stick:

Tube is 1/4 inch thick on the sides. I got only one Q, will this work with DICE?

Right now I can only lap the botton and that's about it :slapass:

Give it a shot! It will work, not sure how great. 1/4" wall is pretty thick. And flat base means you need to use IHS :(

I'll get the plastic and rods tomorrow, then I will insulate TUBE this weekend. I'm still waiting for my Opteron 146 (I had a 0540 one, killer cpu, 3Ghz@1.392 spi 32m stable, died one day during loading OS at bootscreen) to come back from RMA :( . CPU on those pics is a Venice that I run on Tt Big Typhoon right now. Maxes at about 2.81Ghz@1.632v (~1.69-1.7v real vcore) Prime Stable.

EDIT; Heh, I forgot to add that this is a solid container ;) (Respect)

Make sure the tube is making good contact before you begin. Cant wait for the results.

AFI, why would you say that the IHS is required?

Last time I ran a flat base I could not make contact with my naked die... I guess I was wrong. Interesting to see how well that tube works out :)
