Hmm, they really should have compared it to a 7800gtx 512 not a 256..

3dmark 05 default could not reach 10K?

That doesn't impress me much.. looks like the regular XT flashed to Pe would be a better choice...

THe review itself is not impressive...but considering that an upgrade from a GTX to a GTX 512MB costs about $250 to $300 while an upgrade from an XT to an XT PE costs $0.00 (yes thats 0 dollars)...that is VERY impressive, and yet another good reason to go X1800XT which is now within $50 of some GTX 256MBs.

X1800XTPE for $500 sounds good to me ;)

Using the Auto Clock Configuration Utility took my core to nearly 900Mhz and didn’t touch my memory at all but when I tried to run 3dmark with it the screen tore and had tons of artifacts.

hahahaha :lol2: :D :D

Seriously...when reading it...it's a strange review to say the least :eh: :confused2

3dmark 05 default could not reach 10K?Stock 7800GTX 512MB 550/1700 (81.95 default driver settings) does not exactly break 10k either...

The guy did not have 7800GTX 512MB on hand, so we can't blame him for comparing to 256MB. But yeah, review could have been better :)

I wouldn't mind pulling one of these cards out from under my x-mas tree in a couple of days :)
