Hello there.

I've read some bad things about the TruePower PSU's lately, so I will probably not buy one of these. However, I remember reading somewhere that the Antec PP412XF (The F is for european models) 400W is still a very good PSU. Comments?

The thing will power a 2.4B @ Something and a Radeon9700 Pro, as well as 2-3 IDE drives and possibly one or two SCSI-drives, plus your average CD/CD-R units.

I have the PP-412X & I love it :)

Adjustable 3.3 & 5/12v rails so you can tweak to your heart's desire ;)

I have two TruePowers and I have nothing bad to say about either one.
Besides the fact that they are extremely quiet, they do have dedicated voltage lines.

I also have the PP-412FX....and someone said before.."I LOVE IT"...it´s stable..and delivers the voltage nicely..even when not tweaked.

And the ability to adjust al 3 lines..is very useful.
All in all a very god PSU....highly recommended. :)

Thought I'd pop in here & mention that my PP-412X just died...bout 8 months old I think. R.I.P. :(

To bad to hear that, N8. :(
Mine's still working fine, 1 1/2 years old. (PP-412-X)

I've got a TruePower 430, and it works fine. Although it is kinda loud.

TruePower LOUD ?! Well, now I've heard it all....
Maybe you live in a room with 50C ambient or you have nothing else making any noise in your PC(fans, HDDs).

From all the TruePower PSUs I've ever owned/played with/seen running, NONE, absolutely NONE, was even audible in the computer.
I even tested mine w/o anything else powered, just the PSU, and from 1m away I could bearly hear anything. Had to check with my hand if air was coming out of the PSU before I concluded that indeed I managed to start it up ;)
