Just wanted to let you folks know I just posted up a guide to volt modding the Ti4200 OTES. Of course the mod is the same as DDTUNG and sys's implementation, tho the card layout is different. The Mods and theories apply to all Ti4200's tho and all info is in one organized place. Hope that it will be of assistance to one and all Ti4200 owners :)

You can read the guide here (http://www.xtremesystems.org/mricee/SILURO%20Ti4200%20OTES/Ti4200voltmods.htm)

Very good and simple mod MrIcee, but I have two questions, the card you used is the the version 8X or 4X?

The second question is:

with Vmem=2472K Ohms and Vgpu: 2164K Ohms on the pots(rigth?) how many voltage do you have ? And with a 5k pot wich is the higher and lower voltage ?

tkx on advance.

I completelly understand how to do this vmod on TI4200.

I have an MSI TI4200 128MB. The chips on the board are the same?

Let me ask another simple question: I usually overclock my TI4200 by right clicking the desktop and adjusting the frequency with coolbits help. The problem is that I realized that the max mem frequency that is available is 560MHz. Without Vmod on Mem, I could reach 540 just applying heatsinks on mem chips. The stock settings are 250/444 (GPU/Mem) . Vmem default.
If I make this Vmod on mem (same idea applyed for the GPU Voltage and frequency), how can I get more than 560MHZ on mem? Do I have to edit something? And the GPU max frequency?

Another question is what is lapped? I heard something about Volcano 7 lapped.... what is this? How can I do this stuff? It really brings me more eficient cooling?

Mr Ice ,

Can I use a fixed value resistor instead ?
