View Full Version : X2 3800+ with G.Skill ram good?

Should a X2 3800+ be paired with a G.Skill 2GB Ram? It's DDR 500 HZ series. I'm afraid that the ram will be running at 250 Mhz but my cpu won't be able to match up with it, since the 3800+ is 200*10 at stock.... i will OC soon after I get it though. I'll be using the DFI Lanparty NF4 UT board with a OCZ powerstream 520W PSU.

yes that is the same cpu and memory i have an i am very pleased. running at 270 x 10 completely stable. good luck

You could run 250x9 1:1 if your CPU can do 2250MHz stable, I think it will :)

you should be able to take it higher too but i would test each stick and see where it hits the wall
