Wow @ the fact that the Dempsey will cost 2x as much in energy bills than the Opteron 280.:eek:

And the Dempsey was barely ahead in any benchmarks.

s1 with fbdimm is coming too nice too see the perfomance per watt of the intel just stupid hope they fix that

dual core netburst still may be power hungry, but the increase in performance speaks well of the changes in the system infrastructure made. Remember the same quad channel fb-dimm and dual independant 1066bus will be used for upcoming intel cpu's using the mobile derived architecture - and so the system improvements are certainly welcome.
