i was looking at a swiftech mcw5000 as my mobo doesn't have any mounting holes for a heatsink:eek: and most waterblocks seem to have a barb directly in the middle which rules out a holdown device.but now after looking closer ive only got 3 or 4cm clearance above the cpu socket and the psu fan is directly above it.would i be able to avoid the fan with the 45* outlet on the mcw5000 or does anyone have any suggestions to what block i could use?

Im using a kr7a mobo (about same socket placement), and I also have that block. There's a 1/2 barb on my block with clearflex tubing, and it seems like the tubing COULD be about 1cm above the top edge of the mobo if it were pressing up against the psu's fan grill, the rest just loop's down.. So I think it would work fine without a 45° angle.

so if i use a 45* bend on the top of the block it should be all good, sweet:slobber:
