It looks like it, it's rather hard to tell because of the awful video quality.

There are some very apparant alpha maps in it. It's hard to see much of anything because of the poor quality though.

Bah, cars aren't an essential part of racing games.

agreed! Consumers are stupid! As long as it looks pretty, you can release a "racing" game with monkeys eating bananas in the place of actual racing, and no one would be the wiser. ;)

this is a video taken walking with projectgotham camera-tv, to see the beauty of details in the envirorment

if you look the envirorment while in race, the motion-blur hide the details (give the velocity sensation)

agreed. I've repeatedly played and watched a demo(on a 720p HD LCD TV) and while it was cool, the graphics were not as crisp as whats in the video, motion blur or not.

King Kong however, is an absolutely amazing looking game for the 360. :slobber:

That can't be ingame can it? :gamer:

I so hate ATI for bringing this GPU to a console instead of the PC where it belongs....we have to wait till the end of 2006 for this monster.... :(

you can get those visuals on todays hardware relatively easy if the developers take their time, and use optimizations like the source engine. did you know i got it to run at 1280x1024 all high on a mx4000?

MX4000's suck dude. I could barely play source on one. My friends computer had one. 2.26GHz P4B...512MB Dual Channel, 865G chipset, and that video card. 800x600 low settings DX7 and it was choppy as all h3ll.

Well I pld PGR3 in a super market. I really like racing games, but PGR3 didn't convince me. I pld it ona HD TV, so the res was decent, but no AA and AF. Didnt really look any good at all. OK the colors were quite brilliant and the cars looked nice, but they'd better run on a lower res and enable AA.
I drove the Koenigsegg on the Nordschleife. 300kph didn't feel like 300Kph (not that I ever driven that fast, but I know how fast trees and other objects fly by with 230kph). It was more like 50 ;)
On the other side console games get better after a while, so lets wait what PGR4 will be like. They could improve a lot if you ask me.
