And can't too with 2xWD3200JD, so I'm doing something wrong or my sata controller is f****.
Bios 513-2, optimized defaults.
Enabled SATA 1/2 throught bios and Enabled Raid (sata 1/2) too (now they aren't shown on the POST screen).
I enter the raid bios with F10, make a raid stripping 64KB with both disks and make it bootable = YES.
Now I run the XP installation, hit F6, load 2 files from the SATA raid drivers floppy and continue...
I install win XP correctly (it detects the Array ok) and set into bios Boot Priority Disk to the nvidia Raid but....
When it finishes to install the windows XP SP2 it just doesn't boot. When it's time to show the XP Logo it shows a BSOD and reboots! After that it just reboots...

I've tryied it with many raid controllers drivers, and with 4 diferent SATA disks, it's always doing the same, please help me

maybe you should try a newer bios. I have run raid from first day and it only give me a few problems relating from overclocking but beside that then its 100% fine. Remeber to set everything stock setting.

Unplug the cables to your IDE devices, then boot up. This is a common problem with Nvidia chipset, it wants to boot off the IDE first for some reason, once it boots off the RAID drives you shut it down, plug the cables in and you should not have the problem again.

My only IDE device is the DVDWR, should I disconnect it too?

Yes, disconnect everything not a SATA hard drive. Then reboot, this happaned to me every time I did a fresh install, unpluging all IDE worked.

Well, i'll try it when my ordered DFI Expert arrives :P I've reinstalled so many times winxp those days.. i'll keep with just 1 raptor until then.

Definitely flash to 623-3 official or 704-2BTA beta BIOS anyway, they're much better than the old flavors. There are also some strange compatibility problems with BenQ 1620/1640 DVD drives if by some slim chance yours is one of those. Unfortunately too there are versions of the RAID drivers that give many people massive headaches. Slipstreaming the latest RAID and other drivers into XP with nlite from latest NF4 6.70 also seems to help alot of folks.

I was running with the 623-3 bios on my last try. Tryied with 310 oficial too.

Seems like my sata controller is naked, I can't make a raid 0 into windows too, just make a stripping with the 2x3200JD with the nforce 6.70 installed and it gives an error when installing the Nvidia nforce raid class controller.

hmm this seems strange but if you have an additional hd then u can install xp with that one hd and install all nf4 drivers, then try to install the satas in raid. later you can do an image of c: to raid and change the boot drive to raid in bios, it worked for me when i had the raid drives corruption.

nLite (http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=51140&st=0&p=356029&#entry356029) has been the solution. Thanks all.
