Sure, PM me an address and I have some Pure copper heatsinks just lying around doing nothing. Actually, quite a few of them just sitting there.

used a wbk38 untill I got my bong up and running...It was nice for his prize, nothing more.

I'm just not into aircooling really, started after few months with watercooling, and now phase change.

that thing has got to be loud.

Chong345
06-15-2002, 07:04 PM
no louder than the delta 80cfm. ITs kinda loud but I have 2 92mm vantecs that push 119 cfm a piece so I don't notice anything else but those. They sound like a mini vacum cleaner. Also I'm fixing to mod my case to add a 120mm blowhole. I have got to even out the airflow in my case. I have 318 coming in but only 120 going out.

Main rig has a lapped OCZ Gladiator with some crappy thermaltake fan on it.

Folding rig has a stock AMD HS/F... no overclocking so why waste a perfectly good HS?

HS use to obtain temps in my sig. A 600grit lapped Alpha PAL6035 with a 7500rpm black label delta.

Can I have a free HS too? JBell I can write up a review for you ;)

i'm still waiting on my ax-7 in the mail. I got a defective one and it cost me a xp2000 to find out. I'm a little pissed still about the whole thing. Anyway when I get the ax-7 I'm goona slap a 84cfm vantec on there.

Cheers Silversink,

damn it makes heaps more noise for just 4 more CFM but draws less current hrrrrm not bad but i'll stick with the delta, it kicks arse... specially with the AX-7

Chong345
06-18-2002, 02:29 PM
the ax-7 clip was backwards. I tried for an hour to get it to sit on the core anyway but just by looking at it I could tell that it wouldn't.

DexterHolland91
06-18-2002, 06:09 PM
Wow that thing takes 9.1watts...

synth - Just because it is rated at more dBA doesn't mean it would be any less tolerable. I don't know personally, but IMHO the pitch of the fan matters just as much as a dBA rating.

synth
06-18-2002, 06:18 PM
yer true cuz i went from a 60mm Delta Black Label "screeemer" on a Alpha PAL6035 to the AX-7 with the 80mm Delta and the pitch is much lower than before...BUT there is still alot more noise and for 1db its double the noise pressure but i guess it all comes down to perception of what is loud....

Well my main rig is a phase-change setup, and my secondary system is H20 cooled. But i do have a box that was put together with parts that have been passed down through the upgrades, and it has a good 'ol SK-6 on it with that YS-Tech 40cfm screamer on it.
