Hi,
my OCZ Gold (BH5) just does about 260Mhz @ 3,7v.
So i want to try a tccd/tcc5. But which of the two ones should i buy?
It will run on a DFI Nf4 Lanparty Ultra-D.
I read much about problems with GeilĀ“s, but i also read awesome clocks.
And now i really donĀ“t know, which of them i should buy.
The Geil has handpicked TCCD , the OCZ rev. 2 hasnĀ“t ((so the Geil has to run a bit better ). Both have the Brainpower PCB and the OCZ is about 40ā‚¬ (i live in Germany/Europe) cheaper than the Geil.
So come on men/women and please answer my difficult question.
I think itĀ“s better when everybody say which of the two he/she would prefer and why...

yours sincerely fischergeiz
(and donĀ“t hit me, because of my bad english please :slap: )

I would take the GEIL ONE. The OCZ rev2 arent doing well, since OCZ got other higher binned TCCD/TCC5 sutff

I would also check out the OCZ PC4800 Pl. Elite.

If you value customer service you can't go wrong with OCZ and their warranty :)

They are both nice memories. You wont go wrong wathever your choice is.
Probably the Geil Ones can perform lightly better but the OCZ support is awesome.
For the rest is just having some luck. Results can differ using same products.

Good luck!

I have not owned the OCZ.

But I have several Geil One kits (TCCD and BH) and I have been very satisfied and would recommend them. Customer service is said to be spotty but then none of mine ever had as much as a hickup so I didn't need it.

I had 4 sticks of Geil One BH which all clocked +- 1 MHz when I maxed them out as individual sticks. I'd say their binning and hand-selection works pretty well.

first of all thanks for all people who answered my question.
i thought that the most of you would prefer the geil oneĀ“s, because of there awesome resultĀ“s. i think i never wolud test a few tccd, if my ocz bh5 would run a bit better. maybe god wants that i have to buy tccd ;)
i hope they will run better than my bh5 :stick:

@toreide
iĀ“m a poor pupil and i think you now that pupil havenĀ“t got enough money for ocz 4800

i would go with ocz...

ocz is cheaper and performs very, very well, if you'r lucky, ddr600@2.5-4-3-x@2.7V is at hand... ;)

i was in the same dillema a few months ago and i took ocz...

320htt@2.5-4-3-7@2.8V vdimm is my best result with ocz platinum rev 2 v1.0...

Hi can i ask what problems you have heard?

i would go with the Geil, i have two pairs both will do over 320 2.5-4-4-7 and tigher than spd timings @ DDR600. one is stable at DDR600 2.5-3-3-0-7-13.
all at less than 2.8v

I'd say OCZ if you can get v1.0s. Those are TCCD.

So far I have managed 300MHz at 2.5-4-3 and 2.5v after a ton of tweaking. OCZ has some of the best warranty service around and of course reps here and there to help you out.

Is Geil actually smaller than OCZ's memory division?

Is Geil actually smaller than OCZ's memory division?

Geil is a very large in the server and value market in asia, but not so big in the performance/overclocking market. which is why the One series was made.

binned as some of the fastest TCCD and UTT that they could get hold of.
and because of which they are growing fast.

OCZ is a very well known brand in performance memory and sells a lot.

I own GEIL one W BH, stable at 255 2-2-2-5

I kinda wish I went GEIL one TCCD considering they are so close in price. I might sell/rebuy. What do you guys think?
