I was thinking about purchasing this (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2300889716&category=3696) moniter but i found that it has a 13w3 conector. I found a 13w3 to 15 pin vga adapter. Is this all i need for this moniter to work properly with my pc? ill have my radeon 9700 by the time this would come.

There are 2 different adapters and only 1 works. I would avoid this monitor to save yourself some grief.

But if you are up to the challange of finding the coorect one, go for it.

Also, I don't know the particulars of that monitor - but previous models of Sun monitors weren't multi-sync and ran at an odd (for PC video cards) frequency. If your video card isn't frequency-programmable (outside of the stock 60, 70, 72 Hz, etc) you'll never get one of those to sync and work for you.

I am not familiar with that model but I have a couple older 20 inch suns that only run at 1600x1200. I paid 10 bucks a piece for them.

They are ok once you get windows up but you can't see the post or anything till windows kicks its butt into 1600x1200 also.

Not good for a system you tweak with and need to get into the bios with etc... unless you have a old 14 inch vga on a kvm with it.

You gotta set it up with another monitor and then switch after you set the res. Weird to turn it on and sit there for 40 seconds waiting till it hits the windows welcome screen and have it suddenly kick in.
