cant install sata drive

aright this is my first time installing a sata drive, maxtor 160 gig

my mobo is a gigabyte k8u (building my friends computer)

attempting to load windows xp

my hard drive didnt get sent with the sata driver floppy so i went online, downloaded the driver installer onto a floppy

now i was told to hit f6 when booting but when it says insert the floppy it cant detect the file, i tried going through the bios and the sata on chip is already enabled, the computer cannot detect the hard disk

my aim is x800venom
my cell is 860 874 5115 is u want to call lol

i need this installed by tonight asap, any help would help!

Press F6 and have a floppy drive handy

It could be that the floppy you're using is bad, that happens pretty often, so try a new one and see what happens.

lol ya the flobby was bad i didnt copy the files correctly, everything is up and running now thanks!
