Only want to wc the gpu. I have a dd maze4 with 1/2" fittings. Need advice on a pump and rad. for this setup. Once available I will be running cf so having a rad and pump to support that in the future would be great. Suggestions please..

I don't think you need to go crazy with a pump and rad since it's just the GPU. They do produce a lot of heat, but cool well with little watercooling effort IMO. IOW, go with a small rad and I don't think you need a really high powered pump. I"m sure others can chime in on what exactly you should look for.

Geo-cooling? Never even heard of it. Throw a bix1 or bip2 as rad (bip2 if you want near silent) And a d5 will work nicely, though the 50z is better.

I'd go with a BIX and a DD DDC. You defin. wont need a D5 or a 50z if your never planning to cool the CPU.

better to have a system he can upgrade than one where he's stuck on his parts selection. i'm gonna concur with NoL. BIP2 and D5 pump. the rad isn't that expensive and the system is very upgradable.

How about this:

Iwaki MD 20RZ
BIX II

This of course is more expensive, but I have the cash.

If cash no issue, then PA120.2 would outperform with lower noise... ultimately PA160 is ideal - almost 120.2 performance but from a single fan so even less noise. All depends what your goals are...

In the future will be going with cf setup. PA120.2 or PA160, which will be the best? noise is a non factor.

Let me get this straight. You're going to run a single-block loop, GPU only, and you're going to use an Iwaki? That is either the epitome of "xtreme," or kinda pointless.

I am using a vapo ls and from what I have read wcing the chipset is pretty much pointless unless its for the purpose of releiving fan noise in which case I do not need it. That leaves gpu. I would just like to get the best pump and rad I can get that will eventually run a cf setup, thats all. I am not ready to phase cool a vid card, I have a bit more learning and reading to do for that. Please advise any suggestions...and thanks.

Not trying to be a smart@#*, but explain why it would be pointless.

because an iwaki is waaay overkill for GPUs?

would it be overkill for 2 gpu's in crossfire? If so, ill go with the 50z.

Hell, even the 50z is more than enough pump for two Maze 4s. That loop will have little resistance, so I'd base my decision more on noise, size, and reliability.

Thanks for all the help and suggestions, I decided on this:
50Z
PA160
Ill be adding a maze 4 in the near future.
