Only took 10 hours in line with my buddies. :p: :yawn2:
Project Gothem 3 is nice.
Perfect Dark Zero has squirley controls (double joystick) when you are used to a-w-d + mouse.
Call of Duty 2 still wrapped. Need sleep.
Load times on everything is much longer than I expected, even when doing an immediate replay of the same track or level.

do yo have it with hdd right???? it seems really weird
now you need and HDTV to really take advantage of that console perhaps i will buy one with the blue face plate (my room is all blue) it looks pretty nice and games too the live is pretty great too

In the first pic:
The green boxes are the "core" system and the white boxes are the "premium" system. Core system gives you the basics: main unit, wired controller, & composite TV cable. Premium systems give you: main unit, wireless controller (batt inc), TV/HD combo cable, 20gb hard drive, mic/headset, & 30-day Xbox live gold.
The oblong packages in the front-left of the pic are separately sold 20gb hard drives.
I wonder how long it will take someone to come up with an adapter that will let someone use a standard laptop HD with it, because 20 GB of storage is depressing.

hehe, we opened up at 8:45 instead of 9 today today for the 360(work at best buy), and our 50 Xbox360's were gone by 8:50.

waited til 7:40 am and they say.. they don't have enough..
so I walk home.. :(
Can't believe the manager was there the whole time and kept telling me everything is secret and can't be revealed..

i went around all over town (LA, valley area) looking for places since 6:30am
I quit by 12 noon. This is depressing.
The only reason I wanted one was cuz I sold em on eBay

yes i have heard the great stories from my sister an assistan manager at wal-mart had people in line in a college town since 7am anyone that came after 11am didn't get one. good god that is funnay.!.!.!

I wanted one too but its too cold outside for me to camp at 360 spawn and wait to take em out :)

Our group when to the 24-hour Super Wal-mart out in the Mohave desert (Palmdale) next to where they had the launch party. If you got there by 3pm you were able to get at least a Core system at midnight...er, 12:01. It was indoors, they had comfortable chairs set up, served us free bottled water & donuts, took names to prevent line-cutting, repeatedly took count of the units on-hand & asked everyone which unit they wanted so you knew without waiting 10 hours if you were going to get one, and had a deli & McDonald's inside.
Can't imagine camping outside a cold, dark, closed store all night. :nuts:

I'll stick to that. The only reason to wait that long is either you're getting it for free, or selling it on ebay for $1500 (thats how much they go for now)

Our local wal-mart gave out tickets at 2pm on monday.
On Monday I went around to CompUSA, BB & Circuit City and asked about expected stock etc.. I was about to ask at Wal-Mart [this is around 2pm mind you] when I decided, nah, why bother? BB was expecting over 100 and that ough be doable.
Come Tuesday I didnt expect that many people to camp out [this is cowland New England].
Basically if I had just went to wallyworld and asked I would have gotten one.

from what i hear, the performance is not what many were expecting, and some games crash.
And people thought ATI had stock problems... :rolleyes:

As you can see from the cables drapped down, it's spaghetti back there. One of the primary cables goes down into a home theatre deck for switching and the console is plugged into it. The premium system comes with a combo cable (pic #2) that has a switch on it to use the composite or componant end sets. The core system only comes with a standard composite cable.

The optical cable plugged into the home theatre deck for 5.1 makes a big difference especially in CoD2 (which is super fun).
