my asus p4s800 says it was designed for .13 micron 256/512kb L2 478 pin processors.

I see there are 1 mb L2 socket478 chips available, with 90nm or somthing tech. Now, will the motherboard support these 1mb chips? As i wonat to go from 2.6gig to 3.2.

unless there is a new bios to support prescott CPU's I doubt they would work.

in the manual it also says "new power design to support intel prescott cpu"

where does that leave me?
