Hey,

I was looking around DD, CT, ect to start purchasing a pump and waterblock and I came across this combo. I know its not the storm but is it a decent waterblock overall. I know the D5 is the way to go.

mmmmm, I like the D5 but if your trying to go performance over cost then storm or wait for the apogee tests to see how well it is ;).

pump wise, I guess its pretty much to each his own lol.

Its a great combo for the price, and less restrictive than the storm. I'll probably get that and a Maze4 GPU block if I go back to water.

you would much rather have a storm mate:

from the graph, the C/W of the storm@0.75GPM equals the TDX@2.5GPM. Storms are relatively cheap right now (only 10 bucks more than the TDX). get the Storm G4...

Yes, the Storm is $10 more than the TDX, but when you buy the combo TDX+D5 pump you save like $25. Plus you have better flow rates for your GPU block, if you have one. Also, remember to compare the 1.5gpm flow performance of the Storm with about 2.5gpm of the TDX and there is only about 2 degrees difference.

i ran one on my 3000+ 754 and 3500+ 393 (2.8) and i loaded 6c-7c above ambient and that was with a d4. there good blocks. a storm is better but they are good none the less. get what ever one you want and spend the rest on the rad, thats where you will see the temp difference
