View Full Version : Thinking of buying ocz platinum pc4800 ram need advice.

well im going to sell my ocz gold vx pc3200 for some platinum pc4800. Im trying to get some other opinions, this is the exact ram I was looking to buy:

What I would like to know is for that ammount of $ is their any faster ram out their I can buy?? I know mushkin makes good ram as well I just want to know if this will be a good decision.

not asking you to switch forums. I love it here but short-media.com has a OCZ forum with a OCZ rep thats into OC'ing with his own forum there. This one single question might be better asked there.

Is the Patriot any good? I have heard mixed things about it...

Tex - theres a couple hanging around here too.

My PC4800 Plats managed 312mhz 2.5-4-3-x iirc.. but the board couldnt really hold more than 290mhz stable for extended periods. Darn Neo2 Platinum. Its dead now too, so serves it right ;)

Considering picking up another set to run 4x512 with my new stuff when it arrives..
