Grab a book at the library. Use google.
Learn the fundamentals.
Pick a language, and learn it, while relating and applying the fundamentals to the language.
Pick a simple project.
Work on it. Learn.
Pick a new project with more complexity, and learn the language and funamentals to complete project. Continue to prefect known skills, while adding new ones.
Repeat.

Humm it's not easy and it take years to become good, unless your very talented and it s a passion.

I hate it even though I had many courses...

I prefer the hardware side and learning game editing in a game editor like the one in UT 2004....(those are FUN!!).
