I'd believe someone is shipping them now. I work at best buy, and we've had a whole bunch of them sitting in the back for a week or two now. We have SKU's in the system and everything, so we could sell them this second, we just aren't supposed to. But I'm fairly certain a few have "disappeared" over the past week. ;)

They may be out of stock due to all the preorders till right before 2006, or Jan of 2006. EB games apperently sold so many in preorders .. any one who preorded after Sept .. or Maybe begining of Oct ... wont see them till 2006.

i played kong yesterday in a local shop in the uk i almost put a deposit on it but as i only have the deposit and not the £250 to pay the rest.

went to toysrus yesterday and they were setting it up for the first time. I already played COD, but played King Kong there. must say graphics were amazing.

we have them at the costco where I work.
people been asking why we can't sell them yet...
we're not allowed to sell them before the 22nd, and theres no such thing as reserving at costco... some people get pretty damn pissed when you tell them that.
one kid, was like "WTF man, you have it right there, I have the money, just sell it to me. no one has to know, why can't you just get me one... its right there"

its hard to explain the concept of not pissing off a 20 billion dollar company, by jumping the gun on thier release date.
if we sold anything before tuesday, it goes right into the computer, then the next morning we get the buyers flippin out, and never send us anything this hot again.
128 costcos, aren't getting any Xbox 360's.
the fact we got even one pallet of 24, is just that we have a damn good relationship with our regional buyers.

IDK why, but I thought I clicked on the Presler on eBay thread and was wondering what Costco was doing selling PDs :D

Then I realized I was dumb....anyway, yeah, I can understand the buyer frustration but they do have to realize that you can't just sell a product before a MASSIVE company wants you to.

And I think my cat is smarter than that buyer...she'll talk back in tones that makes sense when I talk to her or ask her something (no joke--very smart cat socially--dumb as sht otherwise though).

If you work at someplace that has them in stock already you could photocopy the UPC off the side of the box, take the unit home and start playing, then on release day scan the photocopy...
