I had my 754 3200 newcastle running at 10x260 with 1.65vcore running prime 24h stable for about 6 months. The temps were fine cause i got a hyper6 so i cant see that being the problem.

Then my comp became more and more unstable, so i dropped my o/c to stock and bit my toungue for a while so i could backup all i needed.

Then formated my drive and re-installed windows xp, but still i struggle to get 2400mhz stable at 1.65. I dont think the temps are a problem cause they havnt changed since i got my cpu.

BUT could it be my psu? Its a 480w thermaltake butterfly, and although everyone says dont trust the mobo voltage readings, under load my 12v line goes down to 11.64, and my 3.3v line goes down to 3.26, all other lines are pretty spot on.

Could it just be my newcastle dying?

ye i thought it might, but its only a year old.

would have thought it would be good for my overclock for at least 2-3 years?

Maybe the high overclock and higher voltages are actually damaing your CPU over time? I mean, we know that a decent overclock will cut the CPU's life in half, but maybe do to the overclock and voltage, you are killing it faster?

It's like running your engine in the redline all the time. You can do some mods so that the motor is better able to take it, like synthetic oil, better bearings and whatever, but that motor will not run 200k miles like the stock Civic motor will, you know?

Id say you might even wanna consider ur memory as well, I had a set of PEP 3200LL that did 254 2.5-3-2-5 at one time now I can only get em stable at 248 same settings, which has killed my oc also..

Just my 2c

Its the ram in most cases. I recommend trying a crazy slowest setting possible on every memory timming. SO you know the memory is not your limiting factor. Some ppl just don't beleave in making memory timmings so slow, when they can just mess with them later. Most limiting factor is wrong memory settings that are too fast. Sometimes 3/3/5/7/T1 or whatever just isn't enough.
