Just wanting your opinion :).
If I make my own I will mostlikely make it small enough to go into the case and if I buy one itll be a single 5 1/2 bay.
Will be usin an Iwaki20rlt :).

I would recomend a plastic conduit box like they sell at home depot, etc. I drilled two holes in the side of one and secured 1/2" barbs with JB Weld. It probably holds a quart or so. Has worked great for 3 years....
I would look at the space you have available and go to the hardware store- I'm sure you will find something that will work.

yea if I were to build one it would be out of some sort of plastic tub

take 6 pieces of 1/8 inch plastic, and jb weld them together
and then jbweld the barbs in too... that would always work, all u gotta do is go buy a sheet of plastic ....

I am of the old school line of thought that believes a decent size rez lowers temps 1-2C. Also, it gives a way to pipe cold water into the loop from a waterchiiler, cooler w/ice, etc.
Really depends on how much space you have available. go to home depot. :slap:

not a fan of it :) I think a res has a little more pazaz to it.
im going for looks too ;)
and yea, I plan to switch to a chiller later on but for now I just want to get w/c setup :).
the case its going in is my avatar ;) its 26"h X 17"w X ~7"deep
so I got quite a bit of room :D
and I was thinking of how to set it up, I might keep the pump out of the case like on top and mount it so it wont heat it up inside, which will also leave more room for the res :).
plus when I make a gpu line later it would be easier with a res wouldnt it?

I made one res by my self. Here are some pics:
From front (http://koti.mbnet.fi/rse/orf/HPIM1441.JPG)
From back (http://koti.mbnet.fi/rse/orf/HPIM1443.JPG)
It was in use about 6 months, but the glueing joints started to cave in so I removed it and replaced with Tank-O-Matic.
My friend made his res from plastic-box (one u keep your food in) and drilled holes in it. It works just fine. Not so cool looking as mine was, but works better.

I recommend all brass. :D

I've run both the res and T-line... and I must admit... the T-line was pretty nice. But, you can't beat the ease of adding/replacing coolant with a res... plus it gets virtually all of the inline bubbles out of the system. Just my opinion though. :)

meh plenty of room there too
might actualy work better cause I cut a section in the bottom right just for it ;) check my avatar.
not the best picture, but you get the idea what can be done by making it yourself

how did you make that? I would love to have one in a cylinder form and then mount it on the back of my computer.
edit::::
but im not going to pay 70$ for one from thermochill lol.
it is an acrylic spagetthi container :)
it is 14" high with a 4" diameter.i used a holesaw attachment on a drill.
never screw the fittings in tight, that will cause cracks.i get it so you can loosely screw it in.inside res i use a plastic nut to hold barb then silicone on outside.
