I've looked through jameco and digikey and couldn't find these ...

1. Voltage Regulator (Vin=12V, Vout=7.5V, Iout=3A)
2. 3/8" mounting hole ON-OFF (not momentary) pushbutton. Here is a switch like I need but it is 1/4": http://www.jameco.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10001&catalogId=10001&productId=315387&pa=315387PS
3. 3/4" mounting hole keylock switch Normally Open momentary. Preffered the cylinder type key.

I reside in US.

If you have any other web site that I should look through, please post.

Try circuitspecialists.com.

Also, is this a spec you came up with on your own or something you have seen before and want to grab?

One option is to find a vreg with the Vin you specified, and with a Vout higher than you requested. Then just use a resistor divider to control the Vout. As for the AMP requirement, obviously make sure the vreg can handle upwards of 3-4A, then just calculate the AMPage per device connected due to its resistance. Because this is a Voltage-Regulator and not a Current Source, the current out will be different for each component in the circuit.

it's a requirement for the PSOne LCD ... when I mod it for VGA, I want it to draw the power from the PSU.

unfortunatelly circuitspecialists.com doesn't have the things I need ...

I found the power regulator on ebay though :) (through froogle)

Good luck with that mod. You should post pics once you are done working it out.

just as an update ... I actually found the voltage regulator that I needed at both digikey and jameco ...

the item is "LM350", get the LM350T as it is the TO-220 package and allows you to add heatsinks.

Now, I need the switches, looks like digikey has the right keyswitch I want. :)

the voltage reg is more expensive though, by 15 cents :P

having trouble finding a 3/8" switch ... now I am willing to take a toggle switch ...

maybe mouser.com?

I tried mouser, but I think digikey is best for me ... just need to browse the site and find a 3/" hole switch ...

Did you try Mouser.com?

well, I ordered stuff from digikey but it turned out that I could get the LM317T from radioshack instead of the lm350t from digikey ... only difference between them is that lm350 is 3amp output whereas 317 is 1.5amp

the screen needs 1 amp ...

Also, I got the keylock switch from digikey and I got a 7/16" hole pushbutton from radioshack, so I will have to widen the hole (via grinding?) from 3/8" which it currently is.

the switch happens to be smaller than the hole but still covers all of it, so I am thinking when I install it, to either screw it in real tight or drop some glue so that nobody moves it by mistake ...

if I had a camera, I'd take a pic of everything.

also, I drilled 4 small holes in the front bezel and mounted the screen using 4 2mmx12mm stainless steel screws and bolts ... the screen happens to be a bit higher than I would idea want it, but it is very unnotocible and I don't want to both making those small holes larger ... (the screen is about 1mm than what I would idealy want)

also, stainless steel on brushed aluminum does not clash at all.

when I mount the keylock switch, I will have to do some modifications to the area where the switch/LED PCB is, since both switches would need some area there.

I also plan to make all switches disconnectable in case I need to remove the front bezzel in the future.
