I would just like to know what the biggest OC you got on your chip?

and what is your 24/7 OC and what voltage?

Thanks

My 3.2E runs at 250 FSB 7x24 with P4C800-E-D and droop mod (made a huge difference in stability) Vcore at 1.4375

My E0 Prescott 3.0 does 4Ghz on air, 1.65V

Will try higher once I get it out of my p4gpl-x.

WOW, bud and you got the same MOBO I do. Is that your 24/7 speed your running?

and whats your ram divider?

Used to have my 2.4 northwood 12 capper up in the mid 4's on a 437watt tec cooled by a bong tower. Water was even still ambient. ;) Voltage was 1.95 24/7... Yeah I know, the chip was already voltage dependant heavily though.

My 3.2E does 250fsb 24/7, I can bench around 260fsb but thats about it.
p4c800-e deluxe motherboard (droop mod) and a big typhoon for cooling.
Measured the vcore with multimeter @ 1.44v
Ram is tccd and runs 1:1 (250mhz perfectly stable) :D

Not necessarily, there have been people running them at 5GHz (at least thats the largest ive seen) on phase and DIce/LN2 but i doubt anyone has those screenies around anymore and not many people aroundhere run phase on S478 for their 24/7 rig. My s478 Prescott's settings are in my sig but that will be changing midway through next week.

got my 3.2e D0 to 4.3 for bench and 4.2 24/7 on a unmodded p4p800se. On water.

Ok, so what volatage you running? and what revision CPU are you using?

Pure unadulterated :bs: :slapass:
If you ever had that you would have paraded it around for months, I remember when you joined here and EOC. :shakes:

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply. It used to be my 24/7 setup but it is currently offline as I use that CPU with my p4gpl-x right now, but should be back soon again, pushing it further.

Ram is 1:1

Before I went the way of the Sonoma I had an E0 3.0E which I used to run 24/7 at 3.82GHz on air in a droopmodded P4C800 Dlx. Can't remember the voltage though, I think it was around or just below 1.55v. The max unstable I got was ~4.1GHz.

I have an E0 celeron D 2.4 that i run at 3.77 on my non droop-modded p4c800ed @ 1.4 volts
Although i was running it at 4.14 (18x230) at 1.6 volts stable, but it just got too hot

Chong on EOCF could only get 4, and that was on LN2 :slap:

1.36volts running thorugh an E0 Stepping prescott at 3.75GHz 100% stable all day for D2OL. Load temps are at 50c running mediocre air.

I got my old 3.2e up around 3.8 on air, 1.55v. It was stable around the clock. Admittedly, I never really pushed it further than that, in those days I was scared of pushing a CPU to its redline...

edit: after gettin the dothan in, I'll never go back...

E0 3.0 @ 3.85 on air

4.2 Gig stock volts mach1

4.5 @ 1.5v on a mach 2.

on a ic7max 3, stock mobo.
ran like that for 6 motnhs before i sold the chip.

my 3.2D0 (blue system) run 3.92ghz 24/7 on air using that old cooler at 1.41Vcore. I can push it a lot more, posted at 4ghz but kinda hot, almost throttling. So I need better cooling but I'm willing to bet it can run way past 4ghz with proper cooling.

I use to have my 3.4E(es) at 4.7GHz on phase, with over 1.6V all mods on P4C800-E Deluxe. The kind of heatload was ridiculous, damn toasty things!

going by these results, there really wasnt a need for a new socket. dammn intel for 775 :slapass: , all they needed was to say that old boards with inadequate power regulation are incompatable.

For all this time i thought 775 was a dumb idea, but the oc's i've seen recently have lead me to beleive that it helps out a bit when the speeds are high. guess its just the new chips and chipsets after all.

to all above, nice results :toast:

Don't forget the 775 has 64bit and dual core support, something s478 will never have :nono:

no way. according to the WR database, the record for a 3.4E is 48xxMhz :fact: thats as good as it gets for socket 478 it seems.

If you are a member of XR there is a for sale thread that says the Mobo was used to show that a Mach II could hold a 5GHz Precott. I own that mobo now and will post my results when i recieve it from the mail.
