I have currently using the Tornado, and I am planning to get the Nexus Multi-Function Panel, and I am trying to make an adapter to make it work.

The connection from the Nexus Control Panel to the fan is male (on the Nexus) (its one of the connectors on the left in the following picture).

Which creates a big problem since I have yet found any 4-3 pin adapter with a 3 pin female end. In order to make an adapter, I found the following part from my box of cables. It seems like I need to wire the black and red wire from the 4 pin to a 3 pin female connector, and just take the yellow cable and the male connector out of the whole picture.

(The Tornado only uses two wires even on the 4 pin connector)

The question is, which 2 of the 3 slots do I connect the 2 wires to?

This brings the second question, is there a way to hold the wires in place in the female connector? If not, then I guess I could just strip a part of the wire and tie them on the Nexus itself and put some electrical tape over it. Would you guys think that would work?

the tornado draws a lot of current. be careful or you may blow up your nexus.

that being said, i'd say yellow-red-black from left to right. i'm not responsable if it blows up. if you hook the red and black up backwards the fan will just spin backwards(unless it has some way to prevent this).
