New Container Design In Progress

Alright, I've finally found the ol' CAD software, so i got to playing around with designs. Heres a 2D layout of the base (so far).

The Big, 3.5" circle, is gonna be the tube. The smaller 1" is gonna be a thingy i'll work on later in the middle. The small circles are gonna be holes, either spherical, or flat bottomed, drilled maybe 1/8 to 3/16" deep, at maybe around 3/8" diameter.(for the sake of my lazyness, pretend they are all the same size, and in a few rows of perfect circles)
More to come as i get to 3D-izing it. :opb12:

Hmm. Pretty big thing compared to the one I'm building. :D

You're planning to use a 3/8" drill for the holes? Why so big? I was using a 4mm for my base. (oh yes! Metric system is the way to go)

yeah, i was playing around with that, i think theyre gonna be 1/4". (me hate metrics :D) Anyway, ill be workin on the center spike thing in a few hours when i get home from school. Should be able to show a model of the base soon.
