The other day i decided to burn a cd and realized windows were no longer registering my cdrom drive. They register fine in the bios but not in windows. I tried reinstalling my ide drivers----no go, checked the device manager..... the drives are there but with the yellow question mark. Tried updating the drivers both manually and automatically. Tried uninstalling them then rebooting and nothing works. In the general properties of my drives under device status i get
"Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)
Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device."
Anyone have any suggestions? i want my burner back :(
