I just purchased the Asus P5WD2 Premium motherboard and am having a difficult time trying to decide which memory sticks to buy. Yes I do want to overclock and I would like to buy a matched pair of 1 gig modules or even slot the entire board up to 4 gig.
The specifications are as follows:
Dual-channel memory architecture
4x240-pin DIMM socket support unbuffered non-ecc/ecc DDR2-800/667/533 MHZ memory modules
Native DDR2-800 support
Up to 8GB system memory
Supports Intel Memory Pipeline Technology.
I found these modules at Tigerdirect:

What I would like are the best that GEIL can offer on a Vapor Phase Change system setup utilizing the INTEL D830 CPU.
The only GEIL memory modules that ASUS has tested to be certified under there standars are the GX21GB5300DC, GL2L64G088BA30T.
I would like these modules to be future proof to a certain extent, so I assume the DDR2 667 modules are the way to go? I'm not sure myself.
Thank you.
