Tagan 580W combined rail problem

I am not sure if my powersupply is working properly, I thought I would ask here before sending it back. The PSU has a switch on the back to allow it to run split rail or combined. I prefer to run as combined and according to the manual a blue LED is supposed to light up when the switch is set to combined mode...but it doesn't. :confused:
Now either the power supply is faulty or this LED doesn't light up until there is sufficient load on the PSU to cause it to light up.
Does anyone have any experience with this PSU that can help?

When the +12v rails is over 20A the switch will jump into "Combine" mode and the blue LED will light up automatically

Thanks mate, I spent 2 hours installing the PSU and tidying the cabling in my case, it would p*ss me off if I had to take it out. :toast:
