For any V-mod i do, I normally solder two wires from a 3-pin fan header to the mod points on the pcb and then plug a pot into the fan header.
Insted of soldering the wires to the pcb, can they be attached in another way?
ie can you position the wire on the contact point and use silicone sealent - bluetack or seal string(used with prometeia cooling).
this would allow very easy removal of the mod.

There will be some serious risk involved with that procedure.
I have seen some people use hot glue and other adhesives successfully before, but one thing most people dont think about is that although these things are not conductive they are not exactlly high heat tolerant. High voltage/current will certainly put out heat.
If you plan to try this, I would recommend you cover surrounding components so that if your wire pops off it will not cause a short circuit.

have you considered using grabbers?
hehe thats how i would wire things up when i was like 6....before i was allowed to use a soldering iron....play around with a bit of silly putty for a while untill it gets really tacky/lower viscosity.....you can use that....although i dont know how it will work with things like PCBs...i used it to attach wires to 9volts and stuff
EDIT :: look into stuff called conductive epoxy

SMD Grabbers should work very fine. Maybe you can use both, glue and grabber for long lasting system...

i think it would be easier to stick to pencil modding if you dont want to solder.

As others have said I would be afraid that it would pop off. I have to ask though, what makes the mods too difficult to remove? Usually i just put a little bit of tension on the wire and tap the joint with the iron, pulls right off.
dosent look the same as b4 th...i.e. there goes RMA
