My rigs been acting up lately, I finally realized why. The 5v rail bounces around from all the way down to 1.33v up to 5.64v averaging out around 3.56v. Meanwhile, my 12v is at 12.09v and my 3.3v is at 3.6v, both rails hold at those levels almost always. Whats the deal with my 5v rail? I sent this unit out to HellFire a long time ago and he did a great job modding the rails, but its just now starting to fail on me. Did he fock this thing up beyond repair? Should I get a new PSU?

are you checking with dmm or relying on software? you can check 5v and 12v rail by measuring the red and yellow wire on a 4pin molex, the 2 black center wires are ground

pcp&c should replace the supply for you if dmm is giving you those readings

Im relying on software. I dont have the time to go out and buy a mm, learn how to use it and take the thing apart.

Just so you know, software reads off sensors on the board. Those sensors cost about 10 cents and aren't really calibrated at all. You will not get reliable readings off them.

For example, my onboard sensor reports my 12v line as running at 11.7v. My DMM says it's 12.12v.

If you can't use a DMM, get the rig to someone who can. You can only diagnose a fault if you can eliminate noise from bad tools.

I really doubt PC P&C will allow an RMA, when there is no reason to believe that anything is wrong. :fact:

...and considering it's been modded, that pretty much eliminates the warranty it carries.
