That's normal...Ti4600 is a very good DX8 and lower card.

ahh...............i did realise that the 4600ti was a good dx8 card jus didnt think it would stand up so well to a dx9 card even though it is a 9600pro
spose it was on 3dmark2001se. the points drop considerabley when benching on 2003 (2500)

i seem to have underestemated the 4600ti

A 4600 to 9600 is not an upgrade. If you skip the nature test in '03 on your 9600 you will get a score like the 4600 scores in '03.

yeah - the 9600s suck - i wanna bench 1 against my old 8500le to see what happens (which destroys my 9200se in both benching and real world)

c0rpu5m3tal yours 9600Pro is 400/200(400ddr) default? Normal 9600Pro were clocked 400/600. 9600Pros are faster than 4Ti in some games (GTA:SA, Doom3).

yeah.. my 9600xt did pretty well too... They are about on par with the Ti's until you throw some more advanced shaders into the mix, where they just leave em in the dust.. :toast:

I only got a vanila saphire radeon 9600, stock is 325/200(400) . I screwed a little fan onto its passive heatsink and i can get it to 460/237-240(474-480). I am ok with it though, i get between 75-105 FPS OCed in half life 2 maxed out at 2x FSAA, and abou 55-95 FPS in ut2004 with everything maxed out, both games at 1024x768 but strangley i only get 20-40FPS in halo with everything maxed out

Note that 9600PRO should overclock to 500/650-700 without a hitch

I loved my 9600xt, i killed my nf7 a few weeks ago, so i doubt ill be able to use that card again. I just broke 15k in 01 with it too lol. quake 4 and fear kicked that cards ass so bad, kinda like playing doom 3 on a 9200, but smoother, and with prettier colours :D :woot:

Turn on 2xAA and see which card survives. Also, ti has no chance of playing of the new games (aoeIII, quake4, nfs mw, etc..).

Actually, ti4600 can play doom 3 better than a 9600 pro from what I have seen, so it should be able to play quake 4. idk about the other games. idk... 9600 pros just suck in my experiance. :p:
