would 1k pots be all right for volt mods?
and do u know how many ohms i should set it to?

Do you have a multimeter available?? If you do...take a resistence measurement between pin 11 of each voltage regulator and ground. Right down the figures...then multiply them by 20....this will give you the intial settings for the variable resistors(VR's). You will more than likely need VR's in the 5K range....Radioshack sells the 10K Ohm variety which work fine also. The reason being more than likely your initial settings will be over 2K to start with.

DDTUNG:
First make sure to unplug the card from the mobo. Look for pin 11 by starting with pin 1 next to the dot and counting counter-clockwise. Set your meter to read ohms. Put the red lead on pin 11, and the black lead on the mounting plate of the card. Your meter should give you the correct reading. Repeat with the other IC, then postt the readings here. I will then you detailed instructions for reading the voltages.

i have the 2 1k and 2 10k, so u are saying i should go with the 10ks?

Yes....because your initial settings using DDTUNG's formula will be over 2K to start. I use 5K Ohm VR's routinely for the vid card mods:)
