I am getting my Ultra-D motherboard,3000+ Venice processor, and my Forton power supply on monday and I'm wondering is there actually any benefit to burning in a 90mn AMD processor?

The only type of burn-in I've ever experienced on a K8 is my Opty....it would crash in one of last iterations of a long SPI, and I'd run it again and it'd do a little better...two or three repeats later it would finish. Since then it's either BSOD or stable--no SPI crashes/errors.

IMO, the burn-in really isn't there, I think my AS5 was settling in.

When I first got my 3200 it needed 1.5v to be prime stable at 2800MHz, any lower and it would fail prime with in minutes. But after about a week of burning it in with Prime and CPUBurn it is now 24hour prime stable at 1.42v (my 24/7 setting)
And with 1.5v its prime stable at 2850MHz.

Burn in will not increase you max OC by much but will enable you to run your 24/7 settings with lower voltage. When I first installed my X2 it required 1.5V to run 2.80. Now after a week of burn in I can run stable with 1.45

burn in on X2's, especially if you get an E4, does help. I just went from if failing at 12min to 17min to 40min and now im at 1hour and it hasnt failed yet; all without rebooting or changing any settings or voltages.

same as natedog, except iv raised from 2700mhz 1.39v to 2746mhz 1.39v, although it's taken me a good few hours so far. This has been in use for over two weeks so i don't think it's the thermal paste setting in.

For me does not work at all...Have burned it for a week (every night about 7-10 hours) but there was no changes...I can`t get any further than in my sig...and any lower in voltage settings  But I think is my MOBO...it has some stability bug. I have got an Venice 3000+ 0517APAW and can`t get any further than 2,7ghz...then a SD 3700+ can`t get over 2,75ghz...After sold the venice the guy I have sold it can get at 2,85ghz withouth any problems...will wait for a week then try to change the MOBO. I think I`m the only one that burning-in hasn`t work... :slapass:

My personal experiences performing CPU burn-in --> follow my link.
As you will see it is a time consuming process and don't expect significant gains.
Before burn-in I was 2650 MHz 8M SuperPi stable and now it is 32M at 2680 MHz but I am trying to stabilize it at teravolt region Vcore=1.816.
