Modding a 9500 into a 9700

Something that was on the front page of (H)..... (yeah I know)

A rather interesting discovery from a Russian site, bring your translator:

Basically what it's saying is by moving one resister on a 9500 and flashing the card with the hacked BIOS, it "unlocks" a hidden 9700!
I thought those cards looked rather similar :D

This is by no means confirmed, so time will tell if it was just a fluke.
