Well, the one thing I did get from 3dmark was this place. Two things brought me here initially. First was the unlocking guide for the 2200+. The second thing was the 2200+ contest that I ended up winning. But since I've found this place, I've never looked back. I only posted there just to get another view but apparently you can't even get that anymore. I do have to say though, I learned all about watercooling from the people there. WS_JP and Cathar are two of the people there who really helped me. I did notice Cathar posting here not long ago. They taught me everything I know about watercooling, especially Cathar's watercooling guide that's sticky over there. Really good post. Other than that, I only ever went there when it was upgrade time because I had no better place to go. Now I live here :)

Thats very true, I feel the same way about Rage3d. Do a search of silversink, (i go by silversink at Rage3d, [H], and here, everywhere else I am Silversinksam) You will see I genuinely tried to help a few people there, but came to the conclusion that it's just hard to circumnavigate amongst the flaming and numerous knuckleheads. But with the bad comes the good, if it wasn't for Rage3d I wouldnt have become friends with Bladrunner, who in my opinion is one of the premiere waterblock pioneers of his time.

I also strongly feel the same way about [H] forums, but for every 10 birdbrains you will find one or two good folk. Here we have mostly decent folk. :toast:

PS the only reason I joined this site was because every user at the time were staunch AMD fanatics and I needed to be here and defend Intel, these days I am not alone in that respect. ;)

Hell even Jbell my biggest AMD nemesis threw aside his AMD rig and is running an Intel, and to me thats funny :banana:

I don't post here very often and I wish I'd seen this sooner, but I'd thank to thank Svenn for the links. I found them very informative and thought provoking, and made me re-evaluate my entire theory(s) on cooling. Not just my computer, but also my other household and other common items. To this end I have accomplished the following mods:

1. Removed my radiator and anti-freeze/coolant from my truck, and just let the the wind created by my driving cool my engine.

2. Disconnected my compressor from my refridgerator, and did a "fridge-mod" to install a 24" fan into the door and duct the air in.

So far, everything seems to be working fine except for having to replace my engine block every so many miles, and the occasional case of botulism. But, I do get a certain satisfaction being on the cutting edge of 1990's technology and a return to a more simple life. Many thanks to the folks at MO for their insight and pointing out where I was wasting my money.
