as the title say

what does the strip size do.
i got 2 raptor 10k 36gig
and my stripe size is 128k
but i see many people with 32 and else but what the heck this is doing??

what the heck are bothering with RAID for anyhow? :) unless you are a serious video editor or something your latencies suck and you added overhead to your computer that actually costs you performance...the only thing you improve is large file transfer times. For an explanation of all things drive related, storagereview.com is a not a bad place to start.

The stripe is the amount of data to each drive in the array.

And 128 is way to large for most ide/sata drives. 16 to 32 usually works better.
