Hey there. I'll be needing some 24-pin high-end PSU for the rig on my sig (just ignore that Levicom). I can get these two PSU's for about the same price. Which one should I chose ??

I'd say the OCZ though the silverstone is also very decent unit.

Get the Powerstream 520W w/voltage adjustments to boot....Avoid dual 12V design, They are crap!!! :D

I'd say, go for the Powerstream.
OCZ' support is top notch too.

Fortron AX500-A.

The OCZ PowerStream 520W is my #1 recommendation for your DFI PC.

The Zeus 650W is a noisy, industrial PSU which is fine for a dual CPU workstation/server (EPS/SSI).

The Fortron Blue Storm 500W suggested above,
while not in the same class as the OCZ, is a viable & cheaper alternative.

Because it's what the top dogs are using for extreme conditions....Like I said it has external pots so you don't have to void your warranty and a 12V rail that is rated at 32A@temp??????C...What more can you ask for?.. :D

The 600W is a pos avoid it.......... :stick:

The OCZ PowerStream 600W has +12V1@18A & +12V@20A,
in this RARE case, you do add them together & get a max combined +12V@38A.

The OCZ PS 600W is more "picky" as to how it is loaded & few can really use all of its power anyway.

To tell you the truth bro I got 2 psu here with dual 12V and i'll explain to you why I dont like them, maybe they are good for only normal conditions. But when they are pushed too far they can only provide as much power. For example #1 dual 12V rail I have has adjust pots on all the rails. The ratings though on each rail are very low. So even when I pushed it very hard the rails would not fluctuate but actually overloads the capacity on one of the 12V rail that's feeding the cpu and shuts itself down from overloading........

2nd 12V dual psu I have has no pots and again when I pushed it hard this time the rails would start to sag big time and causes instability. Not because it can deliver the amps but cant deliver the exact volts to keep the system stable.....Like I said stay away from these pos's.....

Dual 12V rail I say is only good for browsing :D :D :D

It it hard to argue with a good single rail,
as the PC P&C 510's & OCZ PowerStream 520's are both single rail &
I rate them the #1 & #2 PC PSU's in the world!
Add the fact that I have used dozens of Antec TruePower 550W EPS's
in various servers without any problems & ...

And....You also forgot about eh FSP/Sparkle 60PLG. I'd rather choose this unit over the antec :slapass: :toast:

Sorry fellows but the FSP supplies are only 5% load regulation,
the Antec is 3% & both the OCZ & PC P&C are 1%,
however very few PC's will ever max out any these powerful PSU's! :toast:
