hi,
i'm going to get rid of my Mushkin 2*1gb pc4000 kit and planning on getting some crucial ballistix. i saw newegg got the singles and the kit. should i get 2 single sticks or the kit (which is cheaper)?
are the ballistix still made using the micron 5b-d chips??

The kit is about $8-10 cheaper than getting 2 singles.

the ballistix always uses micron chips. the only micron that is high enough density to make a 1gb stick with is 5b D :D

What timings were u using with the mushkin?? Maybe u had something too tight? Post an a64 tweaker shot.

well, i had stock timings and it was fine at stock clock...then i loosen the timings a little bit to try to get higher clock but didn't work.... talk to some mushkin reps to try to tweak my memory but all resulted in errors in memtest....anyways, i'm sending them back and planning on getting some crucial......good or not?
