I have the PCPnC 850W... Rails are way off (~3.5%), some are even "unstable" (current is bouncing up and down all the time... fluctuation it's called?), I've checked with a MM. Noise level is way off too (extremely annoying buzzing sound, high volume "DBA" too!).

Honestly, I think you'd be happier with a quiet Seasonic/Enermax/OCZ (whichever's your favorite).

Based on your system specs shown... the 510.

You need to call PCPnC and talk to them about it. They guarantee 1% regulation, 1% ripple... and that "buzzing sound" sounds like something may have come loose in shipping.

with the systems in his sig he would be able to use one of the silencer series psus. They are cheaper but still high quality and better than alot of other power supplies in the same price range. And besides if you need different type connectors all you have to do is call them and they will build it for you.
With the hardware that I see you are using I think the silencer 410 would be more than enough for you.

My Main System:
mobo:MSI K7N2 Delta-L
Cpu:AMD Athlon XP3200+

Ram:2x(512mb)Crucial PC3200
Hard drive:160Gb Seagate Barracuda

My Second System:
Mobo:Asus P5P800
Cpu:Intel Celeron D 2.8Ghz
Ram:1X512mb PC 2700
Video:Geforce MX440
Maxtor 60Gb Hard Drive
HSF:thermaltake Silent 775 CL-P0092 Both systems would be well served by OCZ PowerStream 420W's @ about $80 each. :toast:

The PC P&C 850W must be heavily loaded to work properly &
that is almost impossible without dual CPU's & 10X HDD's! :fact:

Anyone recommending an Ultra PSU should be put to a slow & very painful death! :slapass:

their experts will walk you through all of the various configs & options,

I'm using PCPnC 510 SLI right now. Seems ok except it's little loud. Though, my previous PSU was coolmax 480W fanless so everything after that seems loud to me.

You could just get a hiper type-r like mine - EXCELLENT value for money. Should be plently for your rig. Silent as anything when idle, but makes itself heard under heavy load, but have heard much louder ones :stick: . If you really need the power, the hiper type-r modular 580W ones are good too.

PS: Hows the rig coming along? :D managed to OC it yet?

and that "buzzing sound" sounds like something may have come loose in shipping.

I have had my 510w SLI for since a month or two after they released the sucker. Anyway, I had to unscrew man fan grill because with it on it forced the fan blades to clip the edge of the heatsink making a buzzing type noise.

I think this might be due to the way they secure their fans for standard PSU mounts. I have one of th ev series Lian Li cases in which the PSU's are mounted upside down. I don't think they had a contingency for this situation. Either that or the glue broke during shipment like you mentioned...
