nice for rts and the rest of the games????

moving that around in fps games is going to tire you pretty quick

the idea is quite nice but for me that is not a revolution.... just me i hope they keep bringin some good games....

check the vide out they just sold the me the console damn i want to play zelda like that if it doesnt lag this is a killer .......

also as i said this is going to tire you a lot... but it will be more inmersive game play ever and at least a decent FPS controller for the console world....

the only problem i see is the lack of buttons... but i think is because we are used to move with 3 axis scheme this thing can do a lot of things.....

After watching that video, it seems like more of a gimmick than an actuall functional controller

they just wanted what you can do with the controller that is the way is going to work it has gyroscopes (sp) and sense of depth so you can do a lot of things with it

i like controllers, mainly the ps2 and N64 ones, i dont think i could ever get used to the fact of waiving my arms around to play a game

My words exactly. That is, besides WTF MAN?!

Seriously. That cannot be the final design, can it? Its so bizzare looking. Not that I wouldnt play with it.. but WTF?!

Lets hope the Revolution wont be Nintendo's swan song, as they are taking big risks here. =/

anyone else notice that if you turn it sideways its just a thin version of an original NES controller? Heck the way I see it, no sense messing with a classic design. ;)

It's not the final design...but its close, according to the article at gamespot.

You'll be able to plug that into a "case/shell" for a traditional controller...which will be the REAL controller. For most ppl, this'll become just the multi-purpose remote for controlling its features, turning it off etc.

i liked is a new way to play why you want something tradicional like other controllers when you can move that thing like a sword while you are playing zelda....

when i looked the video i just wanted to play like that

i think its a great idea to have to move your hands and stuff to play. it's more interactive that way. looking forward to it

They really had to be drunk and high when they desgin a controller to look like a tv remote!!! You know the Girl frined is gonna pick it up someday to turn on the tv and (if your like me you leave the console on) Screw up your game. Also who wants to play video games and look like they chaning the channel on your tv. WO thats really dumb! :fact: :fact:

i think that the ability to work the controller will come naturally to most people, as i remember the days of actually moving the n64 controller around trying to run away from red and green turtle shells in battles :)

Seems pretty revolutionary as an ideal, plus it would be cool to use it as a thin NES controller. Personally, it'd be sweet to use in a zelda title or an FPS, but more than likely would be disasterous for us italians. Nothing worse than walking yourself off a cliff because you talk with your hands

Same here, I'm using a PS2 controller on my PC, I also like the Logitech Rumblepad II
A friend used to have a motion sensitive controller ~7 years ago orso, I never liked it and you look like an idiot while playing (Not really a problem for me, I look like an idiot anyway :p: ).

Why does it matter? Not like the whole world is watching you while you play your games.

I think the Revolution will have more than 1 controllers.

Of course, it would be stupid if it didn't. It's going to have 4 remote style controllers that have the capability to plug in a regular controller.
