Hard Drive not being recognized...

Hi Fellas,

My girlfriend just called me last night saying her secondary Master drive (Seagate U10 - 13GB 5400rpm) were not being recognized in Windows. I brought it to my home the HDD isn´t even recognized in BIOS, it took ages detecting drives (without success) in the boot up process. Is there any program that may verify the integrity of the drive? MBR gone? any chances to recover the data on the drive?

You can try downloading the drive manufacturers diagnostics and seeing if the hardware is OK first... but honestly it sounds dead to me...
