i have a antec truepower 550W, but the 20pin model

now is there any way to make this PSU run with the DFI? possibly using a 20>24pin adapter?

any other suggestions? please dont recommend me getting a 24pin PSU, one would be arriving next month, but till then ill have to stick with this truepower for another month.

thanks in advance,
maz

It will work just fine witout 20>24 adapter and with.

Have been using pcpc 550w with 20 and chieftec 360w with 20 , and also tested with 20>24 .

did you try work with the 5v jamper and the 20pins psu ?
you can go over the 3.3v to the dram with your 20ping psu ?

Abilitty to use 5v source vdimm feed has nothing to do with PSU being 20 or 24-pin. In other words, 20-pin PSU will work with DFI NF4 and it does work perfectly fine with "5v jumper", too ;)

how does it work without the adapter?

where do i fit it(the 20pin adapter from the PSU?), like in the middle, the sides or what of the mobo adapter?

Look for keyed pins, there's only one way how to do it.

Go through what Eversor wrote in a thread Esso linked you to. Close to the end of that thread there's another link provided by Chaos-PL that has some additional great photos posted...
