My Mates Asked Me To Put Some Songs On His Ipod, Windows Said It Needed Formatting So I Did This Now Even Thou I Have Put Song Onit It Comes Up With A Folder And Exclamation Mark Please Help Me

If Anyone Has A Ipod 20gb With Black And White Display Can You Copy Everything Except Songs Off The Hard Drive And Email It To Me? Ive Deleted Al Teh Origanal Stuff That Its Shipped With And Wont Start Up

Download the iPod software off of Apple. Since you formated the drive it has nothing on it to tell it what to do. Download the software and one of the options in iPod Updater is to restore it to factory shipped conditions. After you do that open up iTunes and transfer the music from it to the iPod.

Did you format in windows or in the window that came up imediatly there after? My guess is this you have an older ipod updater from before they were universal they do not check if firmware is compatible so you have the wrong firmware on the ipod.
