I ask this question to the Water cooled xtreme people.
My AWC-1 dash-panel has one thermeter, (right or wrong word?).
I'd like to get an extra panel that could display 3-4 temps maybe.
I'd like some advice on what and maybe even were to messure.
And a good source for ordering. (local SHADIO-RACK, kids are truely clueless),
(other electronic parts store hasn't restocked since the 60's, by the stuff on display and what they bring you after asking your question's). :slap: :stick: :nono: :slapass: :slap: :stick: :nono: :slapass: :slap: :slap: :slap: :slap:
IF ANYBODY ELSE IS HANDY IN electronics, maybe a quicky guide on changing AWC-1's single to a multi . I can do some tricky solding :fact: , (i spliced two 25' CAT-5, {8 wires}, and heat shranked each then all in a 1" section a month
or two ago)! :fact: :toast: :woot:
I'll be waiting to "learn" from you!
Thanks

Just want to know how people here measure their cpu temps.
Do you all use something like that thermometer mentioned above with a sensor which you put on the cpu, or you just believe the sensor on your mobo (which usually isn't very accurate)?

Which would be better to use for measuring cpu temps from these 3:
1) http://store.yahoo.com/directron/uc9fatr2b.html
2) http://store.yahoo.com/directron/uca07.html
3) http://store.yahoo.com/directron/fp206bk.html

Last question:
I don't understand exactly where you are supposed to place that thermal sensor? It says not to put it between heatsink (in this case - waterblock) and cpu. So where then?

Thanx!

Pretty much any external sensor isn't going to give you remotely close to internal die temp. Though it may give you an accurate reading of what the side of the CPU die is (even if thats 10C different then the inside).

The best way is an external diode reader hooked up to the diode inside AMD CPUs.
