View Full Version : What soundcard to choose - Need help ASAP !!!

Ok guys , i gonnna buy a new sound card , i have interessting in 2 cards : The ESI Juli@ and the HDA X-Mystique Blue . Anyone knows what is the better ? I need only for hearing music , not planning to play games . And plz dont talk about another card , i only love two of these

So any help ASAP will be appriciate !! :)

anyone hava a ideal about ESI Juli@ ? Tomorrow i must buy one of these soundcards ( dun care about the price )

hmmm about the hda mystic sound card... Is it worse then lets say creative X-FI platinum? Creative seems to take some load off cpu as well.

HDA latency is low, creative dont compete when it comes to latency.

ESI juli@ is based on Via envy24HT chip it also has a quality DAC it will have much better sound quality.
HDA X-Mystique is only interesting if you intend to run digital out to a 5.1 receiver and make use of the dolby digital encoding.
Awnser if your going to use analogue out buy juli@ if digital > 5.1 receiver buy HDA.
Have a look in head-Fi (http://www4.head-fi.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=59)
In short The juli@ has the same DAC (ak4358) as M-audio Audiophile 192 thats a 180EURO card!

Also i hear that the Mystique is not good as Juli@ too
